I am looking forward to our first year at Kirkwood Middle. Here are a few tidbits about me... I am originally from Arkansas. I graduated from Austin Peay with a B.S Education with a 6-8 Math endorsement. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old daughters. I love the outdoors, camping, kayaking, and hiking. I am excited to get to know all my students and build lasting relationships!

My personal goal for my classroom is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I want to take students at different levels and see them develop together for the betterment of each individual. I believe the key to unlocking student potential is by developing positive, respectful relationships with the students. Developing solid relationships with students is paramount in fostering academic success.

  • Bring all needed materials to class.  In order to maximize learning and build self-management, you must be prepared for the day’s lesson.
  • Be in your seat and ready to begin when the bell rings.  Class will start on time everyday.  I do not want you to miss any instruction.
  • Show respect to all people and their property.  We are all unique and that is valued in this classroom.  You will build relationships with each other.
  • Speak at appropriate times, using appropriate voice and language.  Participation and communication is required in this course.  Keep conversations on topic.  Share your thoughts and ideas!
  • Use between and out-of-class times wisely.  If you are out of the classroom, you are missing important instruction.
  • Obey all school rules.  School rules apply in all locations.
